June 2021: Update for New Video Conferencing Tool
June 2021 User Group Meeting: Update for New Video Conferencing Tool
In response to heightened awareness around security concerns with the previous video conferencing solution, we have partnered with Twilio - a powerful cloud communications platform - to build a secure, HIPAA/PHIPA/PIPEDA - compliant video conferencing solution that is integrated into our software. Our goal is to be able to provide you with a consistent, reliable experience that maintains privacy and security without ever having to leave TAO. The new video conference tool will be embedded and delivered within the TAO application. We will be switching over to the new tool in the coming weeks. You will see an interface which very closely resembles the one you already know.
So what do you need to do?
Going forward, clients and group participants in TAO will need to be enrolled and logged into TAO be able to use the videoconferencing tool. This is something that you can begin to do immediately, so that the transition to the new tool will be seamless. Providers who have been emailing the client link to start their tele-therapy meetings without enrolling their clients, will need to add their clients to their client group to be able to meet with them. Prior to the pandemic, this was already a requirement.
